The musical comedy event of the summer will be at Actors Cabaret and everyone is invited! THE PROM is fun for EVERYONE and EVERYONE will have fun at this prom! Bring a date, bring a friend, BRING YOURSELF, just get a ticket and show up to this life affirming, heart-warming, toe-tapping good time of a show!
What's THE PROM about?
Emma, a high school student at James Madison High School, has a modest dream; she just wants to go to the prom...along with her girlfriend, Alyssa. There are a few problems however...there's the fact that the PTA, under the leadership of Mrs. Greene wants no such thing, and then there's the uncomfortable reality that Alyssa's mom...is Mrs. Greene! Awkward!! The PTA flexes its muscle and cancels the prom! Hearts are broken, feelings get hurt, folks get mad! What to do? Enter a quartet of washed-up Broadway has-beens and wannabes looking for a cause that will get them the publicity and attention they crave! Super Awkward!! Will the Broadway has-beens swallow their giant egos and save the day? Will the PTA let the kids dance? And what's gonna happen when Mrs. Greene realizes that her daughter, Alyssa, is a girl who just wants to have fun...with Emma!
THE PROM is a fun, feel good show, a party for everyone and a chance to enjoy the power of live theater to lift you up and brighten your day. Be who you are and come as you are! No gowns or tuxes required!

The show must go on; that's what they say...
On Friday the thirteenth of March, 2020 we had to cancel the opening night performance of SUNSET BOULEVARD. We all know what happened after that. Nothing good. We had to cancel the rest of the season. With our Season Pass, we promised a lot of people a year of great shows that never happened. It was chaotic, confusing, depressing, and scary all at once. Most of our patrons accepted that the situation was not of our making and out of our hands. Your graciousness in that terrible time saved our theater.
Now, we need your help more than ever.
Important Update
Actors Cabaret of Eugene no longer requires patrons to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination. Patrons are strongly encouraged to wear masks in the theater, but we want everyone to feel comfortable and confident in their masking choices. Tickets are sold up to full seating capacity without spacing between parties.
Policies are subject to change based on evolving guidance from Lane County, the State of Oregon, and the CDC. If you are feeling unwell, please stay home. You can switch to another performance if available for that show, donate your ticket back to ACE or gift it to a friend!
