The three guys are stand up comics. Wild and crazy and very, very hip, their unique blend of intellectual and slapstick humor propels them from unpaid neophyte performers to the Johnny Carson Show, instant stardom, and their own television show. Then, commercial success evaporates the magic. "Riotous!. . . Bursting with daring ideas about how to do musicals. It transforms stand up comedy into new unexpected forms of theatrical energy."-- N.Y. Times. "Breezy, funny, vulgar, fresh athletic, corny, sentimental and irresistible. The entire conception is strikingly original and oh those three guys! Should run as long as there's a laugh in us."-- N.Y. Daily News.

ACE Family Shows will include this newly released family friendly Broadway musical. Arnold Lobel’s well-loved characters hop from the page to the stage in Robert and Willie Reale’s musical A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD. Conceived by Mr. Lobel’s daughter, Adrianne Lobel, A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD remains true to the spirit of the original stories as it follows two great friends, the cheerful and popular Frog and the rather grumpy Toad through four fun-filled seasons. Waking from hibernation in the spring, they proceed to plant gardens, swim, rake leaves and go sledding, learning life lessons along the way, including a most important one about friendship and rejoicing in the attributes that make each of us different and special.

ROCK 'N' ROLL
ALL SHOOK UP tells the all-new story of a square little town in the middle of a square state in the middle of a square decade where a lonely young girl dreams of hitting the open road. Into her life rides a guitar-playin' roustabout who changes everything and kick-starts a hip-swivelin', lip-curlin' musical fantasy that will have you jumpin' out of your blue suede shoes. The book is by Joe DiPietro (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change), with direction by Joe Zingo, and featuring such classics as "Heartbreak Hotel", "Burning Love", "Jailhouse Rock", "Blue Suede Shoes" and "Don't Be Cruel".
Combining all-time favorite Elvis hits with a whole new story, ALL SHOOK UP is surefire fun for rock 'n' roll rebels of all ages

THE STORY: There’s a new tenant at Armadillo Acres—and she’s wreaking havoc all over Florida’s most exclusive trailer park. When Pippi, the stripper on the run, comes between the Dr. Phil–loving, agoraphobic Jeannie and her tollbooth collector husband—the storms begin to brew.
“Adultery, strippers, murderous ex-boyfriends, Costco and the Ice Capades. Undeniable fun.” —NY Post. “A bright new show!” —NY Times. “A show that actually lives up to the hype of its title.” —Village Voice. “A delicious new musical. The joint is jammed and jumping with raucous laughter. It’s like The Honeymooners meets The Best Little Whorehouse in Urinetown.” —NY Post. “THE TRAILER PARK meets South Park in this big-hearted new musical comedy with a cheeky script by Betsy Kelso, an infectious score by David Nehls and a richly talented cast. TRAILER PARK sparkles with treasure.” —NY Sun. “Joyful and unashamedly vulgar, Betsy Kelso’s comic fable about women in a Florida trailer park and their no-account men is more fun than a chair-throwing episode of Jerry Springer set to music.” —New Yorker.

“After all those years being stuck on a page,
Did you ever imagine you’d see me onstage?
Now I’m here, there is no telling what may ensue!
No, there’s no telling what!
But I’ll give you a clue...”
So says the mischievous Cat in the Hat at the onset of this fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Lucky Stiff, My Favorite Year, Once On This Island, and Ragtime) have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie and all of the Whos of Whoville!
These classic, colorful tales are seamlessly brought together by Jojo, a young boy and “thinker of strange and wonderful thinks”! As each story unfolds you will marvel at how relevant and profound Seuss’s subtle themes are; making this musical one that appeals to all ages.
The score emerges as a Seussian gumbo of musical styles, ranging from Latin to pop, swing to gospel, and R&B to funk! So let your toes tap, your fingers snap, and your imagination run wild, for
“If you open your mind,
Oh, the thinks you will find
Lining up to get loose!
Oh, the thinks you can think!
Oh, the thinks you can think
When you think about Seuss!!”

Charles Dickens' classic with Ebenezer Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim and the Ghosts of Past, Present & Future get the full Broadway treatment in Alan Menken’s-Lynn Ahrens’-Mike Okrent's adaptation of A CHRISTMAS CAROL. This is the version that leaves New Yorkers and tourists alike gasping in wonder and merriment every year as the story unfolds on the stage at Madison Square Garden. In 2004, this version became the basis of a NBC television spectacular featuring Kelsey Grammer as Scrooge, surrounded by an array of stars including Jason Alexander, Jesse L. Martin, Jane Krakowski, Geraldine Chaplin, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ruthie Henshall. Alan Menken (Little Shop Of Horrors) and Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime The Musical, Once On This Island) have collaborated on a score that is filled with beautiful melodies and emotional lyrics. Their song "A Place Called Home" has become a holiday standard.
There are many adaptations of A CHRISTMAS CAROL out there, but only one Broadway version! Now this holiday treat can delight audiences as it has annually in New York City for so many years. |
